Contraindications
WHEN XENICAL SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN?
Unfortunately there are some limitations in terms of who can take the drug. Those with food absorption problems, gallbladder problems, kidney problems and those who are pregnant or breastfeeding are not advised to take Xenical.
Xenical is contraindicated in patients with chronic malabsorption syndrome, cholestasis (impaired bile flow) and in patients with known hypersensitivity to Orlistat or any of the components contained in the medicinal product named Xenical.
Organic causes of obesity, such as hypothyroidism, should be excluded before prescribing XENICAL.
